We conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess strengths and weaknesses in all areas of speech, language, play, oral-motor, and oral-sensory development. This includes oral motor, vocal quality, speech production, receptive and expressive language, auditory and language processing, pragmatic language and social skills. Evaluations can be performed with or without a written report. Results can be summarized in a parent meeting or can be written, depending on parent need or want.

Sometimes parents want a second opinion, a quick screening, a review and discussion of an evaluation, or an observation of their child’s performance in the classroom. Our consultation services also include speaking to other specialists connected to the child to discuss diagnostic findings and collaborate on treatment goals, attend meetings with members of an educational team, and conference with parents to discuss a recent evaluation or treatment issues.

We provide both individual and group sessions to meet each child’s needs. Depending on the child, therapy can target:

  • articulation and phonology
  • oral-motor skills and oral-sensory integration
  • language processing
  • receptive language and comprehension
  • expressive language and oral narrative development
  • language processing
  • higher order language skills (such as inferencing, predicting, reasoning, critical thinking, figurative language, etc.)
  • executive function (such as planning, organizing, etc.)
  • social language skills
  • pragmatic language
